At the invitation of landyacht owners Gerti and Jörg, the most exclusive landyacht brands resided in Porto Patrizale. The giants of the motorhome premium segment resided in Ascona at the end of September. For this purpose, the picturesque marina is made for these motorhome classes. In a dreamlike setting, the most exclusive dream vehicles presented themselves live at the unique high-end camper event. There: interesting exhibitors from Airstream to VARIOmobil, from high-tech & premium accessories to representatives of the most beautiful destinations.

This international motorhome show is an outstanding premium event. It has no comparable counterpart in Europe. On display were motorhome innovations for 2024. The atmosphere was correspondingly relaxed, including the gigantic panoramic location. In short, a gigantic blue of Lake Maggiore and sunny green of the panoramic peaks of Monte Gambarogna. Regardless of this, the gazes of the astonished visitors were solely focused on the motorhomes on display. 

"Away from the caravan theme, touring the sunshine room of Switzerland is wonderful. The Mediterranean climate and the sunny mix of mountains, vast seascape and palm trees is a delight. Also to experience the fantastic marina as a location is in itself a wonderful travel experience pure" said Nicolas Mix. He represented the family business, VARIOmobil Fahrzeugbau GmbH from northern Germany, at the Lago.

It is said that "rain and visitors are the bane of campers", but "rain is still possible" became a flood-like challenge at the Porto Patriziale at the start of the event. And so the press day was dominated by water. It rained until late in the afternoon. And it even thundered into the night. Bright as day, complete with claps of thunder. Torrential torrents of water poured down from the mountains. Nevertheless, the Landyachting guests enjoyed their unique flying buffet in an informative and cheerful mood. The exquisite catering was served from the food truck - half indoors, half outdoors. No camper could keep their eyes closed at night. An unparalleled natural spectacle: a wall of thunderstorms. This was followed by a sunny spell of weather without any further capricious weather.

Not only the weather in Ascona got better day by day. The charging stands of the enormous on-board battery management of the VARIO Perfect filled up at the same time. And likewise the exhibition areas filled up with people. Local guests and well-traveled prospects came to visit. From AHA to wow effects, the marina was literally bubbling with the mix of high-tech campers and land yachting first-timers. Even though boats are more commonly presented in the marina: the XXL motorhomes were marveled at, inspected and tested for suitability. The majority of the enthusiastic visitors had not yet seen such high-end motorhome giants of the road as an exclusive travel vehicle.

At the end of the event, the motorhome enthusiasts were enchanted by a great sunset on the lake with a view of the mountains, what a picturesque panorama in the adjacent Beach Club.
