Instead of the conventional main and wide-angle mirrors, this system works with digital cameras and displays. The information is transmitted directly to the driver on two monitors. The unobstructed view to the front at an angle increases the field of vision and the safety of the motorhome crew.

Overtaking, parking, driving on narrow roads and in bends - all this can now be done more safely and with less stress.
The sharp eyes of the MirrorCam are fed by a camera attached to the left and right of the roof frame, which can be mechanically folded forwards and backwards to protect against damage. The user-friendly equipment also includestwo portrait-format monitors attached to the A-pillars in the cab and easy-to-reach controls with multi-touch display function. The images from the cameras are transmitted in real time with a resolution of 720×1,920 pixels to the two 15.2-inch monitors. Similar to the conventional mirror system, the monitor image is divided into main and wide-angle areas.

Especially in complex traffic situations and confusing intersections, the interaction between MirrorCam and Turn Assist has proven its worth. The turn-off assistant warns the driver in several stages if there is a danger to cyclists or pedestrians when turning right. The optional active Sideguard Assist can even initiate automated braking at turning speeds of up to 20 km/h to prevent accidents. The visual warnings are shown directly on the MirrorCam display.
